Head coach- Master Wang Xiaoli

Master Wang Xiaoli was born in Jianchang County of Liaoning Province, China in 1985. He picked up martial arts when he was 10, and started practicing Wudang Internal Martial Arts at the end of 2000. In 2003, Wang was selected as a member of Wudang Mountain Taoist Kungfu Troupe, and started to perform with the troupe. In November 2004, he participated in the opening ceremony of the 2nd Sanda World Cup. Subsequently, Wang performed during the 900th anniversary celebration of Tianshi Mansion at Longhu Mountain at Jiangxi Province in October 2005, and Lianzhou Foto in November of the same year. In 2006, Wang performed at various occasions. He performed during the 9th China International Friendly Culture Spring Festival at the Great Hall of the People in January. Two months later, he was invited by the Taoist Federation of Singapore to perform in front of then President Mr. Nathan and his wife during the Birthday of The Grand Supreme Elderly Lord (Founder of Taoism). Wang was later invited to perform in Austin in July, and during the 6th Joint Performance of the Taoist Music held in Chengdu of China in August. In December 2007, Wang and his troupe performed in front of Singapore’s Prime Minister Mr. Lee Hsien Loong during the 90th anniversary celebration of Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple. In 2008, Wang was appointed as the head coach at Wudang Taoist Kungfu Academy. In October of the same year, he won First Prize in Wudang Xuanwu Quan and Chain Whip during the 3rd World Traditional Wushu Championships. In February 2009, Wang became the martial art coach at Wudang Shenghong Health Preservation Centre, an affiliate of Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple.

People always contend for the first, not being aware of how much they lose in the process, and became disillusioned. In the end, all hopes and efforts come to nothing. Master Wang Xiaoli understands that “the best virtue is like that of water, as water benefits everything in the world but never contends its own contribution.” Wang likes Chinese calligraphy and roaming. In his practice of Chinese calligraphy, he came to understand the idea of “knowing how the white attracts, yet keeping himself within the black’s shade” in swordsmanship; in his roaming, he lived with the nature to find out the “way” of life.
